Cards of Kindness

Everyone loves receiving a greeting card, don’t they? In this time of uncertainty, it can be especially lonely for some of our elderly friends. Receiving a card, even from someone they don’t know, can really lift their spirits and bring a smile to their face. Please join us in creating some cards of kindness and sending them to one (or all) of the senior living facilities mentioned below, where they’ll be randomly distributed to residents who need some extra sunshine that day!

Don’t know what to say? Here are some ideas:
 • May your day be filled with all kinds of bright, sunny things.
 • Just wanted to say hello and tell you we’re thinking of you.
 • Sending cheerful thoughts to brighten your day.
 • Sending lots of hugs your way.
 • We’re sending love in bunches.
 • We’re thinking of you today and every day.

Other alternative ideas to greeting cards would be to simply draw a picture, share a joke, or make a door decoration. And don’t hesitate to encourage the recipient to write you back if they are able to by including your name and return address on the inside of your card. We all know mail is just as fun for kids as it is for senior citizens!

It's tangram time!

What’s a tangram!? The tangram is a fun puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes, called tans, which are put together to form larger shapes. The objective of the puzzle is to form a specific shape using all seven pieces, which cannot overlap. Click HERE to download the Miron Construction Tangram and eight shapes templates. What other shapes can you create? We would love to see your work! Share your artwork with us on Facebook!
